Directions to Holy Loch Marina
Dunoon is easily reached from Glasgow and Central Scotland by driving
west on the M8 and following the signs for Greenock and Gourock, or you
can take the train or bus from
Glasgow to Gourock. Upon reaching Gourock, you can take either the Caledonian
MacBrayne ferry which operates from the Gourock Ferry Terminal (next
to the train station) to Dunoon Pier, or you can take Western
Ferries from Gourock's McInroy's Point to Hunter's Quay. Neither ferry
requires pre-booking. Alternatively, drive the longer, scenic route from
Glasgow, crossing the Erskine Bridge and then heading for the A82 which
passes Loch Lomondside, then the A83 past the Rest and Be Thankful, followed
by the A815 along the shores of Loch Eck, which leads to Dunoon.
Dunoon is also a one hour journey from Glasgow Airport, and 52 miles from Prestwick Airport.
Dunoon is the seaboard gateway to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, the first National Park in Scotland.
